How it works

Provision once, publish from the dashboard, and let every TV stay in sync.

Zmanim.TV keeps the operational model simple: one free ZIP path for instant use, one signup path for a full synagogue screen, and automatic reload rules that match the Jewish calendar and your daily rhythm.

Provisioning flow

From signup form to live display in four direct steps.

1

Signup

The shul enters email plus address details. The backend geocodes the location, determines timezone and elevation, and prepares the record that will drive both the dashboard and TV.

2

Magic URLs

The system generates a safe six-character `tv_key` and a sixteen-character `admin_key`, then emails the admin link. If the same email signs up again, the access details can be resent instead of duplicated.

3

Dashboard Setup

The admin chooses visible zmanim, fills service-time fields, uploads the logo and photos, enters a rabbi message, and decides whether the donation QR should hide on holidays.

4

Live TV Screen

Any TV or browser capable display opens the public link, shows the current layout, and refreshes only when the calendar or admins actually require it.

Start paths

You can try a free ZIP screen or launch a full synagogue setup.

Free U.S. ZIP screen tv.zmanim.tv / us90210
Admin dashboard dashboard.zmanim.tv / [16-char-safe-key]
Smart TV display tv.zmanim.tv / [6-char-safe-key]

The free ZIP screen is instant and requires no registration. Signup creates the dedicated dashboard link and TV code for a synagogue.

Reload rules

The TV refreshes when it actually matters.

After local sunset A planned reload syncs the display with the next halachic day and evening schedule.
After local midnight Another reload catches date-based updates and the next day's display state.
After dashboard changes Publishing settings or media changes triggers an SSE-driven full page reload to connected TVs.
Alert flow

Emergency ribbons are layered over the current screen instead of replacing it.

Test mode

Use the green ribbon and calmer audio path to verify speakers, visibility, and response timing during drills.

Live mode

Push a red ribbon across the middle of the existing screen with urgent audio and keep the ribbon active until it expires or is cleared.

Super admin mode

Trigger targeted alerts by ZIP code from the local-only operations dashboard without exposing that control surface publicly.
